Children's classes

Let's make some Art!!
I love painting! and being able to help children
realise their own potential and creativity is infinitely
rewarding for everyone involved.

A colourful response to the brief 'Fish Woodcuts'

All my children's classes take place in my north-facing, light and airy studio in N8. They take place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons after school during term times. Duration: 1.25 hrs/class.
In addition, I run a weekly Art club on a Wednesday at Rokesly Juniors' school.

Having worked for a number of years as an Art teacher in local schools, I understand that children bring enthusiasm
and a fantastic lack of preconceptions to the production of their Artwork. Working to produce individual pieces and also together as a team to create large-scale art works provide students with long-term life skills.

This block of 5 sessions will follow a particular brief including a cross-curriculum approach.
I then love to bring in Science, History and Geography as examples to extend and feed their imaginations!
Referencing other Artists' work, Artistic Movements and genres help to stimulate their own creativity.

We'll have lots of fun along the way too!

All levels are catered for in all classes.
Age group: Junior School / Secondary years, (5-16 years old).

Exam Preparation for mid to later Secondary School years and sixth form students, please see page provided.

Children's Work

These are all examples of children's work. Working from different briefs in each class results in these beautiful images.
Ruby produced this water-colour showing fabulous use of colour and contrast.
This piece by Scarlett shows amazing control and dexterity in response to the brief 'micro organisms'.
A deeply moving and evocative piece after listening to a Moonlight poem.
Everyone in Rokesly Juniors
Art club worked together to produce this wonderful banner: 'The Tree of Life' representing their school in the Crouch End Festival show at the local library.
The banner measures over 2m x 1m and was produced using mixed media materials.
Maciej's artwork featured on 'The Crouch End Festival ' poster.
This characterful cat was created using preliminary sketches and the finished painting from our reluctant model!
