My small adult classes run from my N8 studio.
Using responses to nature and our world around us as our starting point, we will explore landscapes, seascapes, figures, buildings and still lifes.
Working predominantly in Water-colours, (as well as other mediums including oil pastels, charcoal etc.) many techniques will be used to accomplish your finished artworks.
We will follow a particular brief ; i.e. 'Movement' and then let your own ideas develop.
Each session finishes with a group discussion, which many students find very useful.
Using your own approach, I will assist you in realising your own interpretations.
Many students find Art an extremely rewarding and relaxing skill.
It can help you unwind and escape from work related stress AND! you have your own finished work to enjoy for ever.
Beginners/Intermediate levels catered for in all classes.
Advanced students will find 1:1 Tutorials more suitable.
All classes run in a 5 week block aligned with Harringey schools term times (payable in advance),
TASTER SESSIONS and drop ins are also available.
All classes run mainly from the studio.
In addition, we will take local trips out to work 'en plein air' (in the open air) in parks/gardens/open spaces.
Painting in a variety of weather conditions produces a huge range of dramatic results and extends your work as an Artist.

First block of Autumn term classes from week beginning Monday 15th September 2025
This 5-session block is payable in advance total: £250 (£50/class),
Class duration: 1.5 hours.
Monday 15th September 2025
Morning session : 10.30 - 12.00
Tuesday 16th September 2025
Morning session : 10.00 - 11.30
TASTER DROP-INS available Cost: £35/session payable in advance. This is at
a reduced price so you can get a feel of the class and see if it works for you.
Drop-in payment: £60/session is payable on the day.

In all classes we will be using a wide and diverse range of reference and mediums including water-colours, oil and soft pastels, acrylics, charcoal, mixed media, 3D modelling clay etc and printing techniques.
All 5 session blocks aligned to Haringey Schools term times.
One off 'En plein Air' Sessions available each 1/2 term.
During each term there will be opportunities to attend Life/Portrait Drawing Sessions, and day trips to paint at wonderful locations, i.e. Waterlow Park, Alexandra Palace, N8 cafes, Queens and Highgate woods, Hampstead Heath and Kew Gardens.
We also visit London Art exhibitions and draw from exhibits.
