'Rain fading, Barmouth, Wales'
'Late afternoon, Spanish garden'
As an artist all my life, my paintings result from my own responses to natural forms,
particularly flowers/plants, land and seascapes.
I sell my original paintings, prints and greeting cards throughout North London galleries,
shops, craft fairs and studio Art sales.
Drawing on these experiences as a working water-colour Artist and Teacher, my adult and children's classes run separately from my own studio in N8.
In small groups, we will be exploring a wide range of techniques and different mediums.
The end results will be your own original Artworks, ready to frame and hang in your home.
'Glory (fire) Lily'
'Secret Island, Dumfries and Galloway'
'Rain fading' and'Secret island' were painted 'on the spot'. Dealing with ever changing weather conditions, (including the paper nearly blowing away!) evoke strong memories linked to the act of producing these paintings which I find particularly interesting.
'Late afternoon' was inspired by Santiago Rusinol's incredible oil painting in the R.A. 'Painting the modern garden' exhibition.
'Glory Lily' was a direct response to the flower, but executed on a much larger scale. By building up layers of water-colour, I achieved the intensity of colour and texture I was searching for.
